The University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, is located 25 miles east of Yankton and sits on an attractive 274-acre campus. USD offers 206 majors and academic programs and 66 graduate programs, more than 120 organizations and clubs, and boasts a 97 percent job placement rate. The university’s enrollment is 10,061—7,541 undergraduate students and 2,520 graduate students.
