The 9th Annual First Dakota Classic wrapped up last weekend with almost 300 archers, from 5 countries and 32 states in town for 3 days. I heard numerous comments about their wonderful retail and restaurant experiences. The archers and their families are noticing the positive growth and changes in the community and always look forward to coming back. The tournament itself ran quite smoothly, even with the cold, rainy Sunday morning. Archers are a tough group, and those who had to shoot outside in the morning definitely showed their love for the sport. See the comments from Coach Jos to learn more about how our local archers ranked over the weekend.

We would be remiss if we didn’t express our gratitude to the Citizens of the Year, Larry and Diane Ness. The leadership and creative generosity they share makes them role models for citizens of all ages. They see the importance of building strong foundations, both in the business and non-profit world, and support archery as the community works to make Yankton a destination with diversity.
